Retirement: Poof! 5 Things That Vanish When You Retire
Katherine H. shared this video with me recently. I enjoyed it so sharing.

This video reminded me of a discussion I had with a Corning employee who was preparing to retire. His concern during the discussion was that he didn't want to discover "something" he should have done before retirement, but didn't. The point about access to credit in this video might be one of those things.
Recently I heard a story that I'll pass along. Feel free to either confirm the observation or tell me I'm crazy.
A corning retiree recently wanted to get a mortgage, but it was difficult given his low cash flow. To work around this problem he chose to temporarily "turn on" monthly withdrawals from his 401k via Empower. He was assured he could stop the withdrawals at any time, but after securing a mortgage, he called to stop them and was told he couldn't. He was quite unhappy with this new situation.
